Not sure what I did. Added a lot of perlite to the mix, and I've been keeping the plant on the dry side. I probably added Superthrive once or twice a year in addition to the fertilizer. I think a lot of it is a result of the genes of the plant...or even the temperament of the particular plant. I noticed some catts are just loathe to put out sphagetti-like roots, but are fine with just a couple of roots.
Nah, I haven't used KLN before, though I just ordered it this weekend because I want some of my other catts to grow roots like this.

Small Neo division (one small fan + one new growth started a couple of months ago)
Not masses of roots, but the few this plant has are VERY long! There's a couple shorter, new roots on the opposite side.

thanks - those older roots just keep growing along with the new ones - they took a break in winter, started up again in spring

no, I've had this anceps a couple of years - hasn't bloomed yet tho - it may have a sheath now- doesn't look like a leaf, but I'm not sure yet ...

hopefully it blooms. my project plant went from 3 growths to 11 growths. but no blooms! i have a sheath now on one growth. but its skinny and small, not like normal cattleya sheaths
