Just thought you might like to see the cause of my addiction this is the first day its fully open, over the next few weeks the blooms seems to expand and the dots spread out.

I have 14 blooms develping so far on 2 spikes and while doing this shes also made 2 new leaves and a bunch of new roots.... wears me out just watching all that growth in one go!

Normally i would have more blooms and less leaf/root growth, but i repotted her for the first time in 3 years this year and she just went mad and threw out what i thought at first was a terminal spike... ie spiking before the new leaf grew... and then grew the 2 leaves from the crown to go with the spike

Way to go Phalerie!!

Hey that's a beauty! Nice work!! It really is amazing the flurry of activity that happens after a much needed repot. If you didn't know better you would think they were grateful! LOL

Nice. Same coloring as my first orchid, which is a NoID, from home depot. Funny, it started my crazy/addiction too!

Thats just an adorable bloom...once you learn how to care for that plant...you can take care of the others too...its not an addiction its a parenting skill

It's not a noID, it's Phal. Dimension, made by Sion Orchids. It's very close to Phal. Rousserole (famous "French" hybrid), possibly even a remake of Rousserole, but Sion haven't disclosed it's parentage.

Please explain how you are able to identify a spotted Phal that came with no tag?

Wow! A phal with a name it is VERY similar to a Phal. Dimension Thanks Val!

I think she is definately grateful of the repot Terri... i didnt notice until these new leaves grew just how stunted the last few sets of leaves were she probably survived my first potting experience because anything was better than being strangled in the pot she'd been in for so long!

Do you still have yours wjs? Those dots are mesmerizing, enough to make anyone an orchid addict

Thanks for the kind comments
