We have had so mush rain here that I put my cyms on my deck. they did not get as much sun as I would have liked but the deck has a roof. I did not realize that rain was blowing in in them all this time. I am telling you we got two storms giving us 10 inches of rain here in New Jersey. anyway they were looking bad, so in desperation I took them out of the pots yesterday. they were just soaked in that bark. I took them out and cut off all the dead and dying and repoted in smaller pots with dry bark and put them in the sun. Only one had any live roots that I could see. Do you think there is a chance they will make new roots.

Yes, they have a chance. Just give they time and try not to take them out of their pots again for awhile.

I forgot to mention that I did not cut off many of the old roots. Also, I think I read on another post to keep them dry for a while? thanks, Becky

Cymbidiums are very hardy plants. Even if they don't have any roots, I have been able to save them in the past. They might not bloom for you this year but should go into growth cycle and come back okay. Let them dry out real well, for a week, and then start your usual watering cycle. I tend to water mine about twice a week, but I'm in N. FL. Good luck and keep us posted!
