Well, I used to run Aquaholics-Anonymous, and TheBettaHalf. I still hang out at ultimatebettas, and monsterfishkeepers, but I very rarely post anymore, too much drama on a lot of those boards. I really just love the asking and the teaching. Hard to find good boards in the fish hobby anymore. I also am on the IBC (international betta congress) yahoo group, but I don't show anymore, so I very rarely breed my bettas, only one or 2 spawns a year, posting is minimal. Just for fun!

Peeper, those bettas are gorgeous! I have two, in seperate tanks, of course, who keep each other entertained and who love to chase the tubing and nip at my fingers when I clean their tanks. I love their antics. Thanks for sharing them! Hard to believe people keep them in tiny bowls. I've always had tanks for my bettas. My goldfish have a half-whisky barrel pond but they share nicely. : )

They really are so neat, I have a 55 gallon tank with a dozen or more females in there and that is my favorite tank my far. If they are all busy doin something and you walk up to the tank, it's like a scene out of a movie... they all start heading towards the front of the tank, almost one at a time. They eat from my fingers and some of them will rub on me and try to get INTO my hand when I get in there to clean! They are a very sweet bunch!

I used to show, yes, 2 years ago, and before that 5 years ago. I do sell my fry, but I don't have any available right at the moment... as soon as I do I would be glad to let you know!

I get my stock from a few very select US breeders, and from Thailand. But a lot of times the thai fish, you really don't know anything about the lines, and you can really get some messy breedings. I love the US breeders, they know the lines usually back a few genereations... and I'm the same way. Darnit, you're makin me want to go set up a breeding tank!! I have the prettiest green Halfmoon Plaket male and a Stunning HMPK Mustard gas female that I have been wanting to throw together!! *contemplating*

I'll think about it after I go the Orchid Nursery and pick up my car from the dealer this afternoon! I haven't had it for 2 weeks!! New Engine! Yay! It's like getting a new car for free! (go warranty!)

You should! Then send give me some fry! although I wouldn't be able to really do anything with them. I have no space. I have 3 tanks setup a 29g rio Negro biotope with angels rummynose Otos and a bn place. A 5g rimless that is an iwagumi and my 10g. I could put a Betta in the 5g but I suppose I'd hav to get rid of my Sakura shrimp ( I only have one though) so maybe. But breeding wouldn't be a possibility sadly maybe later on.
