I have been using 100% horse manure on my Cymbidium as a test, just a simple home experiment to see if the results were posative or negative.
I recieved the Cymbidium (4 SBs) and potted it in a standard mix, it bloomed right off as it was the season and started a single new growth.
After it finished blooming i repotted it in 100% horse manure.
2 weeks after i notice 2 more new growths, that makes 3 new growths on a 4 SB plant.
There have been no problems with smell (smells like fresh cut grass) or fert burn so far.
My understanding is that Cymbidium do well in this culture, but I would not suggest doing this to a Phalaenopsis or any other true Epiphytic orchid.

you might get better results if you make it liquid fertilizer.
