Help! To cut or not cut?
Default Help! To cut or not cut?

My mini phal dropped all of its blossoms. I'm hoping it was just because they were out of bloom and not because there's an underlying problem. The leaves look and feel healthy and I've been watering weekly-weakly. The stem seems to be losing it bit of its color. It's no longer a really vibrant green but now more of a pale green. There's a small bit (maybe a half inch) at the very end that is still that vibrant green color. ... So my question is this-- should I cut the stem? And if so, where? I'll attach a picture asap, but any and all advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I cut my phal flower spikes about an inch from the bottom of the plant.
Now is a good time to check roots to just make sure all is ok.

I agree with Zoi2. Make sure to check right thru to the centre of the roots as many come with a wet ball of moss in the centre that causes root rot very quickly. I know I say this over and over again, but 100% of my phals have come that way.
