Default HELP! I knocked 2 buds off!

I was delighted a few minutes ago to find 2 buds on my catt that I had not noticed before (very crowded growing space). One is partially open and the other is just started.

Then to my horror about 30 seconds later while trying to figure out how to prop up the buds for a better bloom display they snapped right off. Now what?!?

I have stuck it a tiny vase but is sitting in water OK for an orchid bud/flower like it is for normal cut flower. I really want to see at least one of these open fully so any advice is appreciated.

OH NO!! ! But I guess we have all done it at one time or another!

Putting it in a vase of water is perfect. The partially open bud should continue to open, but the other might not. They won't last as long as if they were on the plant but at least you'll get to enjoy them for alittle while

So sorry to hear of your buds snapping off. I have done that recently TWICE and could have just kicked myself! But as sweetjblue mentioned, the one is partially open so I would think it for sure should continue to open further. and with any luck the other will too. Not much else you can do really.
