I agree DJ! So far I've ever only tossed two and they were most definitely dead! Others have turned around for me and are making a comeback. When they finally are healthy enough to bloom I'll be . I do enjoy the challenge, and like you I learn something from each one.

Ok...so I was bad and trotted out to the trash this morning before it was picked up and grabbed the one orchid that was my first....I figured what the heck I'll give it a shot in my orchidarium.....but it sure was smelly since it was in with my kitchen trash! I'll put it on a bed of moss and see what happens, I figure no need for the sphag-n-bag method in the orchidarium since the humidity is usually around 70% to 80%....I did leave the others in the trash though...lol.

You are too funny Was the guilt too much?? Could you hear it calling?

Just stick it in the orchidarium in the back and you just might be amazed.

Just for a little encouragement, this dendrob. was my first orchid, and I overwatered it to the point that I lost all the roots. I wouldn't say that it was almost dead, but it looked pretty sickly. Now, I can't stop the keikis fom exploding out of the moss. Along with this, I had a couple Phals, that were down to 1 leaf....and no roots! Now, they are growing new, rich, green leaves, that are pointing at the sky!

The dendrobium I tossed had no leaves as well as no roots....I still have second of this plant and it's leaves are falling off....if it does the same I will try cutting the cane into sections and lay it in moss and see what I get! I am hoping my orchidarium, which I need to post pics of, will help my recovery processes!

Becca, I have to admit that I keep checking your gallery to see if you have posted pics of your new orchidarium. I am so jealous! I'm sorry I have no life!

Sarah, I was like a kid in a candy store....I was jumping up and down while my fiance and I were taking it out of the box....of course he had to do most of the work because I was to excited to think about how it should go together....lol...I could have done it, he is much more efficient then I I will post pictures soon, I have just been so busy and I am still trying to figure out little things, like the light timer...usually I am good with that kind of stuff and this one just has me stumped! Honestly...I have it so full I am embarrassed to take pictures...lol.

Don't be embarrassed Becca! I totally understand though! I have to post pics but frankly it's a sad and sorry site around my "setup". It's mostly a non-blooming bunch of crammed together pots. So I would totally be jumping up and down the whole time too! I will keep checking for pics... BTW, I would of dug that orchid out of the trash too!
