Phal - new buds wilting

A plant of any kind should be totally covered if being brought outside from the indoors otherwise the temperature shock can cause flower drop, leaf drop or bud blast. I had people buy ficus from me and they didn't cover it, it only had the plastic bag it was being carried in - they didn't want the extra bag. Two days later they came back with the tree and two thirds of the leaves had fallen. You may well have similar story. Phal buds seem to be notorious for doing this.
