Well, I went on vacation for a week and the the neighbors were to take care of the orchids. Of course, one died but I figured it would as it was a keiki with no roots.
My question though is in regards to a Kgeliella atropilosa. The leaves have all turned brown and withered, but the two remaining p-bulbs are still good and green. I have not yet checked the roots to see what's happening there.
Do you guys think there's a chance it could pull through and sprout more leaves if the p-bulbs are still green?
It's currently hanging in a very shaded spot outside, but I'm going to be pulling it in today since it's in such bad shape.
Hello. I had a similar situation with two orchids that lost all their leaves. Even the roots were pretty much dead, but the p-bulbs were green.
They were originally outside on a tree trunk. That was seven months ago. This is what the two of them look like now... So I think there is still hope for yours.
Its called sphag and bag. Get a ball of sphagnum moss (squeeze some between your hands until it is just moist, not wet..) and put your pbulbs and any good roots carefully ontop of the small ball. Pack some more around it and clingfilm it, leaving a gap for the pbulbs of course.
