Default Sedirea japonica question

Hello,
What is a good potting medium for sedirea japonica?
Would it grow in CHC? I received the barerooted one and am trying to figure out how to grow it.
If anyody has experience with them - your tips and advices are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I bought one not so long ago which is in sphagnum and doing good since. I know you can use the same repoting technique as for neofinetia falcata. I guess it could do well in Coconut Husk Chips but would wait for someone to confirm. For advices and tips there's also : New World Orchids

I've had one potted in CHC mix for several years and it has bloomed reliably every spring.

Thank you everybody for the info.
Quiltergal, do you have it in plastic or clay pot? And how often do you water? Also what do you mean by "mix"? Is it chc mixed with something else?
Thanks again.

I water and fertilize weekly. It's in a clear plastic pot. I mix charcoal and perlite in with the coco.

Thank you quiltergal. I potted it into clear plastic pot with chc. I read that base of the plant should be above the medium, so I left it a bit exposed.
Does it look OK? Thanks again. I attached picture:

Looks very healthy. I bough mine potted and I mounted it right away. It has not lost any roots and is growing new ones, so it must be happy.

Thanks Daethen. Do you grow yours in a greenhouse? I am afraid of mounting because of dry air we have especially at winter time. Does mine look like it is blooming size or a seedling?

It looks good. I might throw a little more CHC on so the roots are covered.

It looks like it's a least near blooming size. They aren't large plants to begin with.
