how many "Catts" do it take to make an addiction?

I avoided most these plants in the past bec I didnt feel I could grow them. Now since joining an Orchid Society I am being bombed with "Catts". 3 at 1 meeting 5 at another and 2 more here and a few there. Bought a few too bec I can. I only had the C.acliandae which has done well and a Bc. Makai and a lowly Lowara that just sits there but wont die. I counted and smiled all the way thru the process at over 30 assorted "Catts" tioday. Ow weee Im going to be crying when they start dying.
The Orchid Society has enabled me to become more addicted to the Orchid Culture plus Ive gained about 10 lbs eating all the junk food.

I do not have room for too many more samurai bladed "Catts"... but Ill get thru these and hopefully post some nice blooms ...for both of you who manage to look at my pics thank you.

We all want to be someone special, fact is, many of us actually are.

Ill leave you with some samples of what Im growing, but post your comments on the subject and no WOW gold please

Lc Jungle Eyes

Bc Makai 'Mayumi'

Blc Amy Wakasugi

and yes most the "Catts" are Planted in Granite Chips..these are still good looking plants. What gets me about these "Catts" is how damn ugly the plants can get. If you didnt know it was going to have an awesome bloom I swear half of them look like they belong in the trash. Im trying to get over that but its very difficult. If I keep knocking off new growths trying to keep em clean that will either teach them or me.. SUBMIT!!! Resistance is Futile!!

oh yes Orchid Societys should be called what they are Orchid AA .
Lots of knowledge 1st off with all the members
Lots of FREE advice on how tooo 2ndly
Lots of FREE Food 3rdly
Lots of Orchids mostly
find that Orchid Society and join them...

They are your orchid friends. You can give them a piece of your favorite plants. Then when you kill them you can go get some of it back

You have some nice looking orchids there. Bc. Makai is a very strong growing orchid. Mine seems to outgrow whatever pot I have it in each year. To me, cattleyas are not all that ugly. I think of vandas as ugly because they look like a fish bone and have all those roots hanging down. Either way the flowers make it all worth while. Good luck with your collection.

You mean you don't sell gold or viagra ?!? Aww!!!

As per the catts, I would agree with you that there are times when I'd like to kick my catt to the curb. It probably does belong in the garbage, but I'm going to see what it does by the end of the summer. It's sitting outside in this yucky heat.

Your pictures look nice and healthy. From my inexperienced eyes, are they planted in stones?

Actually, I like the way all of the orchids look. I find them extremey interesting in their ohysical experience. I even like the bare leafed canes of some of the sebs.

RJ--glad that you found an OS to join. Your Catts looks good. Now share with me how you grow your potted Vandas.

I had a toothache a few weeks back and the dentist needed to pull it. It had a nice gold crown on it, and when he handed it to me can you guess what I said... WOW GOLD!!

I love my Catts and their one or two big fat leaves sticking up, and their very cool roots the way they sneak around behind the plant Now if I can just get more of them to bloom for me!

OK, first off, you have the cleanest most well groomed plants that I have seen in quite awhile. Nothing ugly about that. I do have a question tho, what is up with the violacea, in particular, the growth with the bud, if you took that picture today, could you turn the plant around and take another picture. I really want to see that growth.
