Default resuccitate a paph. deperle

So I recently took an orphan paph deperle from a friend who was tired of watching it dying slowly. i unpotted and saw a lot of root rot, but a few healthy ones. i repotted into fresh media. i'm curious what type of environment i can give it to ensure survival

i have a couple different growing areas - the basement where i have a tank set up for masdevellias/pleuro's etc. the temp is 70-72 during the day and 58-60 at night, its under lights with ~750 - ~2000 FC, depending on location, and the humidity is always 80-95%

I also have a separate light set up in the regular house (similar light levels) where i have a seedling mat providing bottom heat. the temp is probably never below 70, and the humidity in the house is probably 50%

i can't decide what would be better for the plant - upstairs with bottom heat to promote new root growth, or down in the basement with high humidity to make up for the weak root system - any ideas or suggestions would be most appreciated

as hopefully the attached pic shows, most of the old fans are yellowed. the two newer fans have not started turning yellow, and one of them is starting a new leaf

will

hi will, i would opt for the heat mat myself, and i would trim off the very yellow leaf, it has finished donating strenghth to the plant...the old fans die off and the new ones provide new growth and blooms....as the leaves on the old fans get very yellow, no chlorophyll, i would trim them away....keep it evenly moist for the roots and the bottom heat should help form new ones....gl

I would also opt for the heat mat, as long as the air temp remains below 80 and the humidity does not fall below 50%. Otherwise the cooler more humid choice would be better. I think it will survive either way. It seems it has enough healthy roots to keep it hydrated at least, and I think the biggest long term problem has probably been nutrient deficiency.

Thanks for the replies! I'll keep it on the mat. Would you mist once or twice a day?
