Default new problem

the top part of my orchid (that is not in bloom) has begun to turn brown. the leaves and most of the plant are dark green but the very top is turning brown. any ideas or suggestions. i am fairly confident i am not overwatering...underwatering the plant perhaps?

If you are talking about the spike the flowers were on then it's perfectly normal for it to turn brown at the top after the plant is finished blooming. If you are saying the tips of the leaves are turning brown then that is not a good thing. That could mean underwatering or fertilizer burn.

Okay...that's called the "spike". Once the flower is gone and it's turned brown, you can cut it off.
