Talking Its like the Energizer Phal!

I bought this phal from Lowe's back in early/mid January. It had a broken outer pot with a plastic inner pot so I got it on clearance for 7 dollars. I think there are 2 plants in the same pot as well. It has 5 spikes and they are STILL producing new buds. I cannot believe it.

A few weeks ago there hadn't been any new buds so I thought is was coming to the end of its cycle, but there are roughly 10 more new buds growing. Also, today I noticed one of the air roots has some new bright green growth. Very excited about this plant

The only thing I am worried about is that I have not repotted it. Its in sphag moss and a plastic pot. However, it is obviously thriving well so I will wait to repot.

Here are some pics

A few days after I bought it

And 3 months later...

No new pic for it now, basically looks the same though.

It looks like P. Haur Jin Diamond. I just bought one a week ago. Strong plant, huge leaves, very tall spike.

Looks to me like you got a great deal. Your plant looks very healthy. I've never seen a phal with so many spikes. The blooms are beautiful and the leaves look great too. Great growing!

I use Miracle Grow for orchids. Probably about once a month or so. I know I am amazed, I have never heard of an orchid in bloom for 6 months... craziness. I love it though

That realy is a keeper! It is doing so well that I wouldn't worry about re potting it yet.
If you do find that you need to, though, pals are usually very forgiving this way, even in bloom.

Terrific deal on that phal and congrats on getting such a healthy plant! Absolutely amazing how long your flowering cycle has been going. I really wonder if it's a combination of conditions and plant genetics, that sometimes we get a little lucky with both?

My first phal started in the late fall with 6 flowers, then lost them about a 6 weeks later... but when it returned to flower in the spring, it produced 17 buds! Two of them fell off, but I ended up with 15 flowers (shot1, shot2, taken after several flowers had already fallen off). I couldn't believe the plant flourished like this, with my newbie skills in phal care.
