Kind of the same for me. I bought a bare root mini catt. in Feb. It had very poor roots. I soaked in KLN and the bark as well and it is in a little ICU chamber, but still nothing happening. I've resigned myself to losing it but won't give up till it is gone.
Good luck with it.
Otis226, I think they sit like that working on growing new roots. I have a number of bare root purchases and I feel like I lose a good 6 months of growing time while the plants get re-established with roots. Not a big fan of purchasing bare root, but here in Canada, if it comes from out of the country it is bare root

Thanks everyone.
I've had it in damp bark for a couple of months now. Just recently tried a damp paper towel. Yesterday I bought a root stimulant and soaked it (as per directions) for about 1/2 hour. The top of the plant is covered in a bag and the entire plant is in my terrarium with my nelly isler.
It's heartbreaking when these things happen. Why won't it grow? Is it to sunny in this room? Aghhhh!

Hi!
What I did to regrow roots was to fill a pot with lava rock to the height I wanted the cattleya to sit in the pot, set the Catt there, staked it so it wouldn't move, and then misted the rock and plant several times each day. Rock or LECA doesn't rot and dries quickly so the misting won't harm new roots. It is important that the plant NOT move around in the pot. If the backbulbs and rest of the plant isn't far too gone, the roots will grow. Anything you can do to keep up the humidity without disturbing the plant helps. Now is the growing season so you should finally see some progress. When the roots are a few inches, gently cover with more rock or LECA and treat like a healthy Catt. Don't remove the stakes until the plant is well established. I never, personally, had luck reviving a Catt with bark or sphrag-n-bag. This method, on the other hand has really worked for me. Good luck,
leafmite

I don't think those are considered keikis but I suppose keikis are just new growths. SuperThrive supposedly promotes new growth and I swear it works, but again, not easy to find in Canada. I ordered mine from the U.S is something you can get here and valuable for getting the roots started. The kind you bought will likely do the same thing.
