Very nice! Funny I used to hate paphs, but in the last year or so my opinion has really changed and now I own some. I especially like these twisty sepal Paphs.

Yes, mine has two flowers and a bud and may even be staring another bud.
I'm not sure if this is sequential because it looks like it's forming sequential buds a bit like Pinocchio but it might be early to tell.

I find myself kind of drawn to the paphs that have primulinum in their background,so I guess most of my paphs are multis. I just love them! As a general rule I find them pretty easy going, not too demanding. I try to steer clear of roths or roth crosses. Maybe I'll "grow into" roths later on.

Ginnibug -
As you can see Paph. Prime Child (Paph. rothschildianum X Paph. primulinum), is a rothschildianum cross. Fortunately the Paph primulinum has made it a very good and easy bloomer. So if you are afraid of Paph roth you should start with this cross.

Thanks Glen! After I reread this post I remembered that I do really have 1 roth cross. I just adopted it from one of our society members two weeks ago. It is a Transvaal. We shall see, it really looks like it has been limping along for awhile. I would like to repot into my mix but I'm kind of afraid of what I'll find when I pull it out!!!:0 So soon I'll get the courage. I just think the road to recovery might be a bumpy one.

Hi there ginni. Primulinum is a sequential bloomer. If you really like multi floral paphs. I encourage you to try a roth. You will be amazed how the roth breeding of today has been greatly improved. I find them as easy as other multifloral paphs. Albeit they are a bit slow to grow compared to other orchids but patience is part of the hobby is it not?  |

This is one of my prim crosses (Primulinum x Concolor). The two spikes had bloomed 7 times each when I finally cut them to let the plant rest. This plant is grown is a S/H type of pot but with my normal growing mix,the dog-gone thing is like a bush now.  ginnibug |
