Wha do you mean by competition? Competition for you? If that is what you are meaning, they are an orchid supplier, and the beliefs they endorse are their own. I got marked as spam because of someone, and clearly It was me asking for help, In fact you even state in your agreement that you welcome links to other forums, when they aren't even! Ya. They have help columns but not like yours.

I don't know If that is exactly what you meant though, so if it wasn't disregard that last post. Also, thanks for the ice warning.

Sorry you mis-understood. I meant the competition/contest you entered There is no problem with posting the link.

The company who ran the contest and runs the website in that link promotes a 'just add ice' method of watering orchids. (hence the company name).

That watering method has been discussed several times here in the past and is generally considered to not be a good watering method and can lead to root loss in many people's experience (I've not tried it so all I can do is pass on what I've read of other's experience).

I just wanted to warn you in case when you receive the plant it has the 'just add ice' watering instructions. I was not sure if you were aware that others had had problems with that method.

Ok. Thanks. Sorry for snapping. Just got a little unhappy about the spam thing. And thanks for the warning. I will water it normally
