Default new leaves something wrong?

everyone I have had this phal for about a year and it has put out new roots and 2 new leaves, but the leaves just don't look right to me. I'd apprieciate anyone's imput as to why they look the way they do. The lighter colour = more light, but they are curly and there are marks and ridges on both of the new leaves. Could it be some sort of virus or just stress? Thanks again

To me the plant looks a bit dehydrated and needs more water, the media looks very dry, you might want to check the roots to see how they are.

The leaves look pretty good to me. If you're talking about those light colored streaks on one of the leaves, I don't know what that is. The plant looks healthy overall to me.

The wrinkled leaves indicate that it isn't getting enough moisture. And since you have it planted in bark with good air circulation it probably isn't from rotting roots, but rather not watering often enough for the pot/medium you are using. You can always use the good old skewer method to see when your medium is drying out, stick that skewer in and leave it for a few minutes and pull it out to see if it is wet. You don't want it to dry out completely before watering, maybe like 60% dry. That's my Good luck!

Thanks for the replies, I just watered it yesterday so the top looks dry but definetly not the middle. I do use the skewers (plantsaver!!). But now since it's getting hot out I am watering more. I'm just glad it's not something to worry over. Thanks again all )

I use bark too, but I put sphag on top to "lock in" more moisture.
