I understand that the roots need to breathe and be exposed, but when I mounted with sphag underneath it appears that the roots somewhat sunk and disappeared into the sphag. Should I just remove the sphag and leave the roots bare on the cork? It's in my newly constructed terrarium where humidity remains at about 80 percent.
I did this with my Porroglossum after reading some information about mounting this one from the Baker's website. I just didn't know if it was the same for the Trisetella or not since they both come from the same region.
I don't grow this one but I would think it would depend if the roots like to dry out. At 80% humidity the sphag will stay moist and roots will not dry.

AH, I see now! Thanks for sharing those pictures. I actually have a little nub on the piece I've mounted. So I could line all around it with sphag but place the plant on the nub so the roots lay on top.
