yup the Zygo Kiwi Dusk get a Blue

and a Miltoniopsis Rene Komodo get a Red ribbon

and it got broke too ahhh welll...Shows are tough on your plants so if you worry alot about getting em dinged up leave em at home. I ding one I buy another one Came home with some very special plants too. Going to post in a bit..Sorry for the crappy pics.

I didnt make it home with many pictures of the show bec I made a boo boo transferring them and deleted them off the camera before they got copied

I had fun again, met lots of neat people with lots of beautiful flowers.Learned quite a bit to from them how they get them Big flowers..

Thanks Orchid Board!!!

Beautiful flowers. Congratulations! There will be many more shows to come, especially if you grow plants like that!

Congratulations! They are both pretty. I would definately give the first on a blue ribbon. Nicely grown.

thanks you all

I put too much into these ribbon things, but I also know from experience that a lot of work goes into judging these flowers and its time consuming. I feel privileged to get any ribbon even if its in the Misc Genera . All the competition is in the catts, phals, paphs, and phrags as there are lots of entries there. Ive had the luck of having bloomed orchids in the classes that not many have..So less competition for the judges attention with less flowers in a class. This wasnt planned just being a happy accident

But thanks again.

You all here, should have a lot of pride knowing that you turned another would be orchid assassin into a winner .

Orchid wisdom for the day " takes just as much time and effort to grow a bad plant as it does a good one"

Congrats and good growing

Receiving a ribbon for a plant one has put on show is always so exciting and after all a great reward for hard work in growing and caring for those plants.....

I myself ( got to experience this) with putting a few plant up in our local (judged) show some few months back....

It was a nerve wrecking but rewarding experience and think i did pretty darn well with a first show attempt

so here's how i did...

1. Best Cattleya alliance (blc. Guanmiau city ''black flower''
2. Best dendrobuim (Dendrobium mini)
3. reserve champion.. ( for the blc.)
