If it looks anything like it's sibling in the photo or it's parents, that would be great. I read somewhere that the petal flares show up in a minority of the seedlings. Even without the flares, it would still be attractive. It's so hard to wait. I'll definitely post a photo if I get it to bloom. Maybe fall???

Silken, I purchased it online from Fenders Flora. It was on sale and still might be. It's a "dangerous" place to look as they have a flat fee for shipping and if I understand correctly they ship all the orchids you buy for $15. That's how two showed-up instead of one;-)

Thanks for the tip. But since I am in Canada, the cost of paperwork to get it across the border is prohibitive. I will check them out tho as our society places group orders and then the paper work cost is spread over a much larger order.

Fenders Flora sure has some beauties. Wish I had more space, time and money. Hope your orchid society will get a shipment together.

I just e-mailed them to see if they ship to Canada. I sort of doubt it as there is no mention of it on their site. But I will wait to hear from them. I've been looking and this is where the well known RLC Susan Fender 'Cinnamon Stick" hybrid comes from. I've been wanting it for a long time and we are ordering from Hauserman this spring, if enough people order, and that is one I have chosen!

The orchid companies in Hawaii often ship internationally because of the tourist trade. Kawamoto Orchids has Cinnamon Stick and a beautiful selection and ships internationally but I've never ordered from them. Other members probably know good growers in Hawaii. Just trying to enable your orchid passion:-).

I did get a beautiful old fashioned white cat from Hausermann's with four sheaths and I'm looking forward to the blooms. But after several orders from the same place you eventually get all your favorites from them and need find a new source.
