Potinara Island Girl-Is bud blast beginning?
Last week I received a bloom size Potinara Island Girl (Little Toshie `Gold Country`, AM/AOS x Blc. Goldenzelle `High Noon`). I'm new to these orchids and see tiny green rice-shaped growth at the bottom of several leaves. My concern is that they also seem to have a cream colored dry spot at the top of the green. Do this rice shaped things normally grow into buds in the right conditions? Is the dried cream spot the beginning of bud blast or is that what potinaras do?
