Everyone I have owned. I have two new ones as I took a few years off. Main problems were root rot and lighting. Some lasted a few years but others died right away. Those were mostly from home depot I still have hope!

I know that I have lost hundreds of plants but most of them were seedlings. I have bought many flasks from Meyers Conservatory. The first three it was a matter of too many too fast. Then this past winter I lost four more this past winter along with a bunch of more mature plants when it was 18 °F one night in my greenhouse. And I have killed a four or five due to incompatibility with the required regiment to keep them healthy.

My records show I have lost 8 and I have 75 still alive.

6 were lost due to poor roots when they were bought and died despite all attempts to revive them. One got a strange blackening necrosis I never knew the cause of. One got too cold while in S/H and the roots rotted.

Oh and I have a 9th which I'm unsure about surviving. I don't really know what is happening with that yet.

Ok, now this is going to be the kiss of death for everything I own, but, I haven't lost one yet (so in about 3 1/2 years). I've got around 40 and have rescued a few from friends in recent times as well.

a lot! haven't counted - many lost to neglect over winter - a couple times I have done that - but since joining OB I haven't lost any more to neglect at least

I've lost a number of Phals - I finally realized I was over-watering for the most part.

Have lost some very small seedlings - just too hard to manage moisture levels (very dry summer climate here)

A few, I have no idea why they died.

Some just die as part of the learning curve, I suppose.

In a nutshell, most have died from either neglect, or over-watering

ive lost two entire collections of about 100 plants each. one in summer 2010 and in january 2011. on top of that several of numerous genera where i hadn't quite gotten their culture right. im no cool grower nor high humidity lovers. they hate me. lost numerous to overwatering and a couple of the most beautiful odontoglossums i ever owned because we moved and they got left behind . the most valuable to me were a large angraecum sesquipedale, huge psychopsis papilio and vanda coerulea. i have 17 plants in total right now, the survivors of this past freeze spell that hit tucson.and a couple of them are making quite the rebound.

I have lost too many to count but the most lost was when we moved from southern California to Oklahoma in 2009, that winter we had an ice storm and a blizzard, lost power for four days and the temperature in our house dropped to 20*f. I lost about 30 plants when it was all done. I even lost my favorite neofinitia,(a black pearl),

Ahhh jeez, too many to count. I hate to think of the money that was tied up in some.
In the late 80's I lost a massive amount of old cattleya species and hybrids from benlate. I stopped orchids for probably 5 or 6 years. I had a few that made it through and they were the reason I began collecting once again.

I've only grown orchids for a year, and so far I have 2 phals that I had put in S/H that have almost all their roots rotted and I have put them in plastic bags to see if I can save them. Aside from these 2, there is a catt that is struggling. All the others (about a dozen) are doing fine so far.
