You can fertilize them with small amounts of weak fertilzer if there is a shortage of insects.

JB, for attacking weevils in their larval stage, I would suspect that there may likely be some type of the following biological control via the following:
fungi
bacteria
predatory nematodes
predatory mites
perhaps some species of rove beetles (adult and larvae)

However I don't know for certain -- all I do know is that there are numerous species of the above that attack the larval stages of insects. This might, at least, give you some possible areas to research.

Many cp's require very bright light, though as with anything there are exceptions. Some also require a dormancy period (not unlike temperate trees, tulips, etc) in order to remain vigorous. As long as the plants are grown where insects abound, they will catch as much as they need. As a whole cp's are very picky with regard to their water requirements -- city water or most tap water is a no-no. Instead pure water like rain water or RO is best as the plants tend to be very sensitive to salt build up. For this reason, too, fertilizer is usually ill advised.

I would only use distilled water on them, with fertilizer once in a while.

I was thinking about adding one to my 500-1500 fc terrarium I'm building to help with any fungus gnats or other bug issues should they appear.

Carnivorous plants are so cool. That would be an interesting addition to the greenhouse.

Well, I let go lady bugs & a praying (I always thought it should be preying) mantis nest. I'm going to order lacewing larvae over the Internet.
