Default finally a keiki

Hello everyone just wanted to share with you all my first (and only) crown rot success! The beginning of feb. I somehow got water into the crown of this phal I really liked the leaves...but i managed to catch it before it lost all it's leaves. Hoping it would do something I decided to keep it. Well today I was watering it and looky what I spotted a new keiki I am so happy. I am so surprised that I managed to save 1. I'll keep you posted on the progress. It has taken 2 months to get this far was, about to give up. I think that the fact that it had a good root system really helped. Anyway here are some pics first 1 is of what it looked like before the crown rot. then after and now today

Congratulations! So happy for you and for your phal!
I'm also one of these people who'll hang on to a plant until there is no hope for it anymnore. Hm, in fact, right now I still have a phal that has lost all its leaves... it's been this way for at least a month, but I can't toss it because the roots are plump and green. So yeah, I'm hoping it'll decide to save itself and make a keiki.

Congrats, you are giving me hope. I have one phal that is down to its last 2 leaves and one of them is limp and looking wrinkly. However, I see a little bump at the base and believe it is the beginning of a root. I am not giving up on it since it is showing signs of life. Hope your phal continues to do well!
