Default Phal is a phal/shortened version

After I read you question twice, it's a great question. I've had a few people ask the same question.

The word phal is just a shortened version of phalaenopsis
den is short for dendrobium
onc is short for oncidium
paph is short.....for Lady Slipper
cat is short for cattleya
milt is short for miltonias

Hope this helps sum it up for you. Email if you need any more help.
