It doesn't matter about the drain holes and the type of pot you're using in this case, imho.

One of your plants has only one living root left. I think the issue is more of the size of the pot in relation to the amount of roots the plant has left.

If you're able to, I would recommend mounted culture.

If not, then you have to find a size appropriate pot.

Should I re-pot it into something smaller? I recently just repotted it so I'm not sure if this will stress it out or anything

Try growing in a 2" tall clear plastic pot. If you gotta stake the plant down, go for it.

Put the functional pot into something substantially heavier to prevent it from toppling, or hang it.

Make sure the larger/heavier pot also has drainage holes too.

I noticed a weird spot on that same phal the other day. I attached some pics. If I hold the leaf up to the light I can see the light through the bottom of the leaf. The spot feels a little mushy. Any idea what it is?

Not too sure. You can try putting cinnamon onto the "spot". Try not to get cinnamon onto everything, just that area only.
