Can't find any registration on your Den. Do you happen to have the parentage? It is so beautiful.

I think the correct name for the Dendrobium is Dendrobium Stardust 'Chiomy'. Chiomy being the cultivar name rather than the Grex/Hybrid name.
It looks just like my Stardust 'Chiomy' and Dendroboium Chiomy is not a registered name. Tree1 did you happen to buy it from Burnham Nursary at the show, they sell Dendrobium Stardust 'Chiomy'.

Assuming it is Dendrobium Stardust as I suspect then it is is a hybrid of unicum and Ukon.
I love this one as well although I don't think mine is going to rebloom for me (at least not this year).

Thanks for the replies guys.
The Den was from a guy Ray Creek Orchids. No more info than Chiomy, but when I looked it up I also came Dendrobium Stardust Chyomi or Chiyomi??? As far as the sellers went this guy had the best orchids at the show. They were all hybrids but they were all faultless, every single one I looked at was really virtually perfect.
The Paph was from Ratcliff Oorchids. He had about 10 Paphs to choose from all very similar to the one I picked but all with different names.

Could anyone tell me why my Phal petals have opened so far up? They've bent back on themselves?
I lost the only flower the plant had when I bought it, I put this down to my humidifier being right next to it. Could I have damaged all of the buds.
Could the light be too bright? I have a net curtain up but it still takes a lot of sun?

Cool I've not hear of Ray Creek before so that's another to add to the list. I'm pretty certain your den is a Stardust. The "Chyomi" should be written in quotes as it is a cultavar name. This is a name given to a particular individual and all it's clones (divisions, keikis and mericlones). Seed offspring from a Den Stardust "Chyomi" cannot take the same cultivar name even if both parents had it. They will be genetically different so will just be Den Stardust.
There is a tendency with some nursaries to just use a cultivar name without the Grex/Hybrid name which many people find anoying as it can be difficult to find the true parantage unless you know where to look.
I've bought from Ratcliff before, I like their plants. They are often at the shows I go to.

This could be normal. Some Phals 'recurve' like this and it's probably something genetic for this phal. If they are NoIDs there there are probably a large number of species making up their parantage (the standard supermarket/garden center ones are heavily hybridised) this could be a trait that comes from one or more of the parents.

Thanks for the info Rosie.
Do you mind me asking, where about in the UK do you live? Will you be going to the Raby Castle show on the 30th of this month?

I live in the Midlands (I'm to the east of Birminham but still in the West Midlands).
I'm not going to the show. I bought too many plants at the RHS London show and want to persaude hubby to let me buy lots at Peterborough in the summer so can't do to many others. I can't get out of them without 5+ plants
