For example, if I have wasps, they come and kill them and they are gone until possibly new wasps come and make a new nest etc...or if I have voles, they put down poison and then the voles die off and no more voles.
But the stink bug population can only be contained as they have no natural predators and are resistant to the pesticides. Plus they are everywhere, particularly NEXT DOOR where they don't get treatments.
However, at my house, I have them treat twice per year for them and I get maybe one around the house per month whereas my neighbors have swarms of them.

I will be using the SucraShield soon and hope that adds a little advantage as well in the greenhouse where they could get in more easily than the house.
that "limited success" sounds like it might be worth the extra expense. Out of curiosity, did they spray in your home, as well?

Classic toxins like acephate (Orthene) and imidicloprid (Merit) will only affect the adults, and as has been stated, not all that well.

I am a local distributor to you (Bucks County, PA), so it's next-day delivery. (And , no, I'm not just trying to sell. I really like the stuff, which is why I carry it.)
I will most definitely try it! I'm assuming it has directions for use....does it go directly on the plant?

Watch your cyms closely!!! I found stinkbugs hiding in the center part of 2 flowers so you couldn't even see them, then the NEXT day those flowers died. I noticed that the remaining flower petals had some darker spots on them, and I looked on the back and.....EW! Eggs!

Yep. One ounce per gallon of water and spray or drench away. It even comes in a self-measuring bottle.

Let me tell you why I like the stuff so much:

  1. Completely wiped out a boisduval scale infestation I had, and that can be a bear to get rid of!
  2. OMRI & WSDA listed for organic production.
  3. Does not have any affect on the plants at all.
  4. Kills all stages of insects, not just adults.
  5. Also kills mites.
  6. Because it uses natural, physical forces to kill, rather than a "toxin", it is a very broad-spectrum product, and is far less likely to develop resistant strains.
  7. Safe for bees and most beneficial insects. It is even approved to spray bees to get rid of the mites that are known to wipe out entire colonies.
  8. Breaks down into sugar and water (no, it doesn't attract ants).
  9. It is safe enough that you can use it on food crops and harvest and eat them the same day!
