Is it a Phalaenopsis?
I know that a lot of people end up buying Phalaenopsis as their first orchid, but I don't want to take that for granted.
There are over approximately over 25,000 (or more) different species of orchids.
There are approximately over 100,000 (or more) different registered hybrids.
Generally speaking, each species of orchid requires different care from each other.
Generally speaking, each genera of hybrids requires different care from each other.
In the future it will be increasingly important to mention what kind of orchid you have,
first, before posing the question(s).
If it doesn't have an ID, just mention it has no ID (NOID) and the genus name that describes the plant best.
For example:
Phalaenopsis NOID
Cattleya NOID
Epidendrum NOID
Vanda NOID
etc, etc...
Just a friendly fyi.
