Default What genus is miltassia x odontocidium?

I recently purchased a Mtssa Charles M Fitch x Odcdm Black Beauty 'Hawaii' and was wondering what genus this is, or if it is best to just call it Mtssa x Odcdm?

Bakerara
Brassia x Miltonia x Odontoglossum x Oncidium, abbreviated Bak.

tho I'm not sure in the situation of an unregistered cross if the genus name Bakerara would be used or not - hopefully someone else can clarify that

It would be perfectly reasonable and correct to call this cross a Bakerara, but since it hasn't been registered yet you would still have to write out the Mtssa. x Odcdm. part, making an even longer more awkward label.

There is a potential catch though. The Odontoglossum bictoniense parent of Black Beauty is now correctly called Rhynchostele bictoniense. Both have been used in fairly recent registrations. This cross could potentially be considered Mtssa x Ons (Oncostele), and that combination has not been named. I don't think RHS will keep accepting both names for registration indefinitely, so until it is registered you won't know if it will be Bakerara, and even then it could change.

Yikes! Oh, the joys of orchid taxonomy and nothogenera names. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.
