Default phal root or leaf

This is what I saw last night. Is it a stem or leaf?

This began as a keiki from the mother plant that is sitting right next to it. Hope it's a stem!

Looks to me like it will be a flower spike. The other posibility is a root, but I'm pretty sure spike on this one.

I would think that a spike would have a more rounded end, so, being my , I think this might be a keiki. But only time will properly tell!

It looks more like a 'mitten'. But I'll be watching this baby.
