'The Last Flower' a documentary short about an Orchid farmer in China
Hello everyone,
We just finished the production of a documentary short about an Orchid farmer and his family in China. We would love to hear some feedback from some real orchid experts!! Please check out Mr. Yang's story, 'The Last Flower' here:
**note: you can click the 'cc' button for English sub-titles.
Let us know what you think.
**note: you can also find a version with English subtitles and more information on the /answers campaign at Siemens Global Website.
Thanks!!!

Hi Mg, I enjoyed your documentary very much. You did an excellent job with the cinematography as well as evoking an emotional response for the orchid growers.
Also, you can turn on closed captions in the YouTube version. Just click on the CC button.
How long did this project take to complete? Did you get funding from Siemens?
P.S. I'll be happy to tweet about this.

Great human (and orchid) values. The moment at 5:28 when the wife touches the last flower sold is marvelous!

WOW! That was truly an amazing video. You really captured the struggles, woes and triumph of the family business. I even found myself almost in tears as the last orchid was being sold! And the little girl was so darling.
Amazing video! Thank you for sharing this heart-warming story of a family.

Wonderfully done and very educational.
Sometimes we do not realize the hardships that others go through.
I do not understand the language and used the subtitles. You could feel the joy in their voices when the weather warmed and the plants sold. Awesome!

Really enjoyed the film. Even though I mostly understand the language it is not my first dialect and the subtitles help. I can feel the joy and the relief as the family celebrates the New Year after an entire winter's anxiety.
