I have an orchid that only has a few roots left, I ordered some KLN rooting hormone - if you can get it and maybe rush an order and dunk your guy in some rooting hormone, there could be hope TLC goes a long way.

P.S.
Ordphien, P.S. The first picture of your little white guy looks exactly like the orchid I am referring to. (How did you get two spikes?!!!) Our poor little Lazarus has no roots either, just a sad nub. Thinking of high humidity and warmer, I have a snalll covered glass terrarium that it would fit perfectly in, all by itself. I would just place the pot in it. Would that be adviseable or do you think it would need more airflow?

Thanks, Butterfly. I will have to get some rooting hormone and some kelp stuff. The shipping charge is what makes me hesitate. I just placed two separate orders and shipping was a lot.

Where did you order it from? I got mine from Amazon, I think, and it was only like $5 shipping. And then my fiance came home and was all, "Why didn't you use my account for Prime?" :P So if you have Amazon Prime it might be eligible.

It's good enough. It doesn't need a great deal of airflow, it just needs enough to promote gas exchange. I have grown a Phal in a glass terrarium with tropical snakes before, and it is nothing but a cheapy screen top terrarium with no additional muffin fans or anything, and it worked fine.

Thanks, King; I am going to give it a shot. Now I kind of hope I can wrangle it from my sister as I really want to nurse it back to health. Problem is, she feels the same and will probably want to keep it! It's so easy to get personally attached to these guys; I just love them. I check on my orchids every day.

It's actually a species phal. It shockingly came with a tag.
Amabillis is the name.
Well last year it got its spike karate chopped by accident. So the second spike is from the remaining node.

Oh, please tell - species phal as opposed to? - hybrid? Do you have a greenhouse; what are your growing conditions?
