If you're looking for a pic on how a new shoot on Phals should look like, here it is:

Did you take a picture of what you bought when it looked nice? Maybe that would help, and possibly you bought a pot with a phal and other spring plants or bulbs? I've seen some potted up that way recently. Not sure what media they were actually in.

This is what the flower looked like...
Moth Orchid Plant - White
Silken -when i bought the plant, there was only orchid flower on it... there were nothing else...
This truly is strange! There is still hope as there are green shoots, though i dont remember there being so many before!
Once i put it in wood ships, perhaps it might be different?

The plant in the link is a Phal, but the shoots in your photos are not Phals. They are not even remotely close.
Maybe you should investigate this further with the seller...

Molly,
Just wondering what the status of this is? Did you figure out what is growing from the pot?
Is there a chance that you had more than one potted plant tossed outside and what you've brought into the house to try to resurrect isn't your orchid at all, but another plant that was thrown outside?
I'm curious to see what happens with your plant!

I have a question, felt the answers might be useful for the others too.
What size Phal should be purchased when one has a chance to buy various sizes (with healthy root system)?
1 Medium Seedling
2 Blooming/Near to blooming
3.Huge

I think if you are fairly new to the hobby then Blooming/Near to Blooming is a good idea.
Younger plants can be hard to care for (especially very young) and you have to wait for the blooms not knowing how long it will take. Some phals never get huge so unless you particularly want massive specimins that's not so much something to look for.
I generally like to buy Near to Bloom size in all my orchids, even with a bit more experience, but some folks like to buy seedlings because they are cheaper and they are happy to wait several years for them to bloom.

My supplier says he had few Huge Phals in few varieties, they said it in view of Packing Shipment.
My query is, is it a better idea to have few more Phals of that size? Or huge Phal is an aged Phal that is going to end its life?
I will post pics once I receive shipment.
