Default Space

I read in an orchid magazine some 13 or 14 years ago of a man in New York who converted an alcove he had into a growing space for orchids. He made/bought glass doors and shelving and made it like a huge terrarium with a sprinkler system and heaters, fans and just everything orchids need to grow. He managed cram in 400 plants! Just shows you that with just a little imagination you can utilise the smallest of spaces for creating your own jungle!

I have actually been considering doing this in my basement. Currently, I use the space to hold my other tropicals during the winter months.

I used to have a glass front soda cooler for my stuff .....I had put flouros in each corner and remover all the cooling parts for more room ...had the wire shelves that adjusted to any position you needed ....just did not look good in the corner, but was great for the plants in it...

Ooooohhhh, I have an old wine cooler that no longer works! We were preparing to buy a new one, so I might convert the old one!

Thank you for that wonderful thought John!
