If it's essentially rootless (which it sounds like it might be), soaking it won't hurt, but I don't think it will unwrinkle the bulbs. Right now you really don't have enough roots on it for soaking to make much of a difference. The bulbs will most likely remain wrinkled. Once it grows better roots the new growth should be nice and round.
CHC is coconut husk chunks. I forget people don't always know what that means. Sorry!
Thanks Terri. I have another question. This one is regarding Paphiopedilum (fewliei alba xhennisianum alba). Hooray- i actually have the label! I've had it for over a year. It sent up a spike about 2 months ago and there is a fan but not bud. There are 2 root like bumps -one on either side of the top of the spike. What is going on? Is this normal?
