Default Pleiones

Hi people, I thought I would post this in this section because with pleiones I am a novice but I'm rather taken with them. I bought one or two (around 90 of them lol) and several are about to bloom. I have the following - around 50 of them were bought labelled 'mix' so I have no idea what might eventually pop up. Do any of you who have grown these have any hints or tips that may not be mentioned in their general care?

I have:-
50 as a 'mix' and varying amounts of the following...
Pleione Eiger TO "AH" bulbils
Mei Moon
Riah Shan
Cairngorm
Gary Mundey
Pleionoides Yunnan
Oriental Splendour
Kenya Bald Eagle
Marco Polo
Humilus
Formosana Claire
Souffriere
Tongariro
and
Bulbocodioides.

Gee whiz! you Scots don't do things by halves do you!! Some are spring flowering before leaves and some don't flower until autumn. Have you looked at the Pleione wedbsite? Here are the three web-sites that I have used, but you've probably found them already:
The Pleione Website
Pleione
https://www.easyorchids.co.uk/site/pleione-orchids.html

Hope that helps a bit. I only have Oriental Splendour from your list, so I might not be too much help with what you've got.... but I really look forward to pictures

Thank you! I did overdo evil Ebay just a tad! LMAO

I've had a look at those sites but sometimes info from growers with some experience can be invaluable. I think I have around 7 about to bloom in the next 3 weeks. Mei Moon is just at that stage when you expect the flower to be open next morning so it shouldn't be long now for my first pleione bloom!

Not to take anything away from this forum but if you check the links on that site, there's a link to the Scottish Rock Garden Club's Pleione forum.

I think it also depends where you have them indoors (warm vs. cold)/ outdoors etc. I ordered some more bulbs from Edrom (up your way in Berwickshire.. well, closer to you than me in any rate!) a few weeks ago and they are well behind the others grown down here as they'd been kept in colder conditions.

I've quite new with these. I only have two, each just showing signs of growth.

The scottish rock growers forum can be quite helpful for growing them in the UK.
