Default How to Pot it?

Today I got a new orchid. It's a Den Draconis.

Since I'm rather new with orchids I wanted to ask around if this plant is healthy. The roots look black and I can't tell if they are good ones or not.

Also, how should this orchid be potted? I've heard putting most orchids on slabs is the best option. But being new to all this how would I do this?

Is there a slab or pot of a certain size I should use? And since I just got it, is it alright to move it right away or give it time?

Roots are dead. I think the plant's got new ones wanting to come out.

I'd mount your. It's got nothing to go on for potting.

Name: Den. draconis

Little "d" not big "D". Huge difference in connotation for something so seemingly small in grammar. Helps make finding info easier.
