Default Epidendrum

I was in Atlanta last weekend and got the chance to go to their beautiful botanical gardens. They have a wonderful collection of orchids and I was of course bit by the orchid bug again. I fell in love with a little orange guy by the name of Epidendrum Neon Valley. I have been searching for info on him and the species in general and I have come up short. Can anyone get me up to speed? Culture? Where I might be able to get my hands on one of these? Thanks so much!

1. It's a hybrid.

2. Grow like a standard epiphyte.

Potting media: medium grade wood chips.

3. Pot size should not be too much larger than the root mass.

4. Allow to dry out between waterings.

5. Intermediate to warm. (55 F - 90 F)

6. Moderate humidity (about 50% to 70% is adequate).

7. Moderate to good air circulation.

8. Moderate bright indirect to bright indirect light.

9. Fairly easy to grow.

Thank you!

Please excuse my ignorance, but what is it a hybrid of? I assume it is part Dendrobium.

Epidendrums are undemanding orchids that are easy to grow. Like Catts they definately prefer to dry out completely between waterings. They need good light to bloom. Eplc. Volcano Trick 'Fireball' is a very popular hybrid that you see around these days. It's also one of my favorites.

Can't find the heritage.

Probably has some Epi radicans though.

Epidendrum radicans - Cuban Orchids

Dendrobium's not in it.
