Smart woman you married there. Congrats on all the success and thanks for the updates!!

Just a fantastic plant. Never had keikis on my equestris... for some reason I do something that does stop them producing keikis... Now I got a new equestris aurea, these days the first flowers will open for me, four spikes on two, close together grown plants. Hopefully I'll get a keiki 'afterbloom'...
Thanks for sharing your experience... Fer |
look at all those keikis! and the flowers them self are awsome. soon youll have alot of very nice plants!

"I'm considering registering this hybrid under the name "Phalaenopsis Pegasus". It really look slike it's going to take off and fly"
Just remember that you can't just register someone elses cross without first doing due diligence in trying to locate the hybridizer and getting their permission. |

Mine was a mature, strong plant to begin with. Could it be that the "keiki gene" is only "activated" after a certain age? |
It really depends on the species, my Phal pulchra keikis like crazy. I always leave them on the mother plant and now the keikis and their keikis have keikis.
|
ive heard different light levels will make sime keiki more. but idk about it
|
Oh my... It`s simply gorgeous!! I had never seen this before. I thought keikis grew off the main stem. I had no idea they also grew from spikes! Everyday I learn something new on this forum.
