Default Phal Mini Mark 'Holm'

I've got the winter blues here in the frozen north east. Visited the local greenhouse today and a tiny little phal followed me home. I don't really have the room - but couldn't say no.

I took some great pics from the greenhouse - I will share a little later when I have some time.

Nice.

I get the winter blues here too, actually.

I currently have very few orchids that are in bloom during the winter.

I feel ya.

My Phal. Mini Mark is just starting to bloom for me as well. Many of my other phals are in spike, some with open flowers. Phals make this a wonderful time of year for me. Thanks for sharing your new acquisition!

Then I hope these cheer you up. These were some of the beauties that were not for sale. But they brightened my morning and I hope they do the same for you!

Any tips on the mini mark would be greatly appreciated! Congrats on the spike. I've got a handful of phals spiking now too and I'm a terribly impatient. Two are opening today!

Wow...

They're all pretty cool!

If you've successfully grown Phals before, then I got nothing else to say about the Phal Mini Mark 'Holm'.

Mini Mark is a 'must have' and is no different from other Phals culture wise. They have a tendency to throw out multiple spikes and are just so cute!

Unfortunately mine isn't very healthy despite much love and attention. I don't think it will ever recover from it's bad attack of mealies 2 years ago. I'm thinking that I'll have to get another one soon, I don't see the current one blooming again any time soon...

Love your other pics, there were some amazing orchids there! Maybe it's a good thing that they weren't for sale, some would be hard to resist!

Nobody can resist Mini Mark! Mine is in full bloom right now on a single branching spike. Haven't bothered to count the flowers yet. It's always so nice to see it bloom this time of the year.

Mini Marks are great! Mine is just starting to spike again - last year it had three with loads of flowers on each, which I think caused the leaf it was growing at the time to be smaller than the others. However, the leaf it's grown since the spikes died is back to normal. Enjoy
