Wow, that's an impressive looking plant!

I nearly got a similar looking one before christmas. I really really liked the blooms, but I didn't really like how they were all clustered at the top of the spikes. But now I sort of regret not getting it!

There is a small leaf looking thing growing off the bloom spike here... Can someone tell me what this is? I have never seen anything like it on a phal before (then again I'm a newbie)

To be honest, I was not crazy about the blooms on this plant. They are not THAT pretty. I simply got the plant bc it was on clearance and I don't want to spend a ton of money on a plant that I might kill... But this plant has grown on me... It is very unique and I like it more and more each day

The leaves on the stems are not something I've seen often, but I guess it depends on the plant. Basically it's the little green bit that normally protects each node that decided that it wanted to be leaf!

Okay, one last pic of the blooms. I think they look spray painted...

I've previously only seen those leaves on terminal spikes, but this one is definately not that from where it's coming from. I guess just one of those things.

Yeah I wasn't too sure about the little leaf thing, but I just viewed it as something "extra" that the plant wouldn't have produced if it wasn't healthy in the first place. So all is well I'm sure.. Thanks for all your input. It was nice to actually be able to talk to someone for more than one post!

Oh WOW! Your plant... eh... plants look great! I wouldn't do anything to id, just let those buds open at the right time.

Thanks! Yeah, I just hope I can keep it up.. I bought this about 2 weeks ago (so no credit on my behalf!) and I'm new to this so hopefully I can keep this one going for years to come...
