So What's considered HIGH HUMIDITY??

This time of year in the Northeast is a bit problematic with both Light and Humidity levels. I have acquired a number of Aerangis/Angraecum that are Mounted, and I'm using (2) Humidifiers in my growing area, but I'm trying to get a take on what is considered HIGH HUMIDITY............everything I'm reading says 50% +,
or 50-75%, which is a rather wide variance.

So, what does everyone here consider HIGH HUMIDITY levels ???

This time of year, my GH runs about 90% RH, but with lots of air movement, that's OK.

Most plants will find 50% to be plenty, but will do better of it approached 70% or more.

Well, like I said, I use two (2) cool-mist Humidifiers in my growing area, which is a large windowsill.....the levels can get as high as 80% (evenings/nights) but normally stay at the 64-70% range. I would never be able to obtain a 90% RH in my growing area.

I think that is considered 'high' is relative. For instance, when it comes to humidity in relation tohuman comfort I think 50% and above will be considered high. But in terms of plants, I think 'high' for them will be 70% and above. (at least that's what I remember from my horticulture courses.) I have mounts too, and have an easier time with them when the humidity is around 80% (I drape wet towels on the radiators below the window)

But this is my view on it, it's by no means correct!
