This particular cross has not been registered. First, it needs to bloom. The originator would have the first right to name it (and usually they do, since they have many of them, they're likely the first ones to see the flowers) If they don't name it and it gets awarded, the owner of the awarded plant might name it (if they're nice, they'll ask the originator for permission) On the registration form, if the person registering the name is not the originator, there's a question about whether the originator was contacted. But the form also wants a photo - so first it has to bloom at any rate.

I believe I either have a noid zygo. Or a zygo hybrid it did have a tag it read dendrobium nobile. Thank you all for all of the place to go to find out with what has become an obsession with me.....B

Is a NoID (no ID, no IDea) apply similarly if the grex (hybrid cross) is known, but there is uncertainty in whether there is (or has been) a cultivar name associated with it?

Like a semi NoID .... part of it is known, but uncertainty in the rest of it.

If the grex is known, it isn't a NOID. The grex, and therefore the ancestry, is known. There is no requirement that a plant be given a cultivar name. In fact, most of the plants in a seed-grown cross don't get them. There is no registry for cultivars, unless they are awarded - and then the cultivar name is used to define the specific plant that got the award. Then any clones or divisions of that particular plant also carry the cultivar name (and for flower quality awards, also the award designation) For cultural awards, the award goes to the grower (as opposed to the plant for flower quality awards) and so awards like CCE should not be carried by the clones and divisions, but this convention is often not honored.
