Bob, I would be happy with a white phal of that size and flower shape. Enjoy it in both colors.

Very interesting link. I understand why I didn't see them at the Ft Lauderdale Orchid Show... they were at the "Tropical Plant Industry Exhibition (TPIE) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida." That is a wholesaler show. But I think it was the same weekend. These may be at the Tamiami show next weekend. I look forward to hearing the spin the vendors are going to put on them! haha Now that all of us have researched the hell out of these blue flowers, we probably know more than the vendors do about them. They are a novelty and I might buy one, but not for $40. Maybe the price will come down on Sunday afternoon. I'll let you know!

You know, HP Norton has been developing "blue" Phals - the violacea - for some time now. So you can have blue without the gimmicks. I have a few and cant take my eyes off them when they are in bloom!

They sound nice, but I'll bet that they aren't actually blue. I had a violacea and found it hard to get back into bloom. Do yours bloom well?
