Considered trying something similar, just for giggles. Don't know what the silver stain is, that is more information than I had before.
I have serious doubts it will work for three successive inflorescences. Perhaps three more buds to open on the current inflorescence, I'd believe that. Time will tell.

Some Red Factor canaries are given canathaxin an artificial coloring agent to enhance the red color it stains the brain and liver.
Carrot and other natural things will work and not damage the bird . I tasted some a friend had mixed up it tasted like paint thinner smells .

Poor babies!!! My coworker stuffed lots of his canaries with that for time he was keeping them. No wonder they weren't that bright.

I also wondered that: Do they mean the next 3 buds or the next 3 spikes. If the latter do they mean new spikes or those emerging from the nodes of the current spike.
I'm assuming that this is the same orchid that is marketed by Silver Vase. It looks interesting and if you like it you didn't waste you money but personally it's not for me. It's a throw away Phal by it's own admission. Even if the next 3 spikes are blue, after that you're left with a white Phal. How much are they asking for it compared to a normal box store-type Phal?

I checked the Silver Vase site above, and the date matches, but the local vendor said Fort Lauderdale, not Homestead. Silver Vase is a Dutch company, which also matches what the local vendor said. The local vendor (Akamai) did say three full bloom cycles and then gradual fading, not just the current spike.
I did pay more than I ever have for a phal for it ($40).
If I just look at it as a blue flower, I really love it. WHen I think of it as an orchid, I am still conflicted. My wife (who usually complains about my purchases) really loves blue and is tickled by it. It is worth the extra to get her on my side for at least one purchase.

I think it's very interesting. I wouldn't mind ending up with a white phal eventually - they are my favorite.

Well, I may have been misled a bit.
Googled "Silver Vase" and "Blue Mystique" and got many hits about the introduction. Most were pretty much the same but found this one that supports those above who felt the blue wouldn't be present on new spike. They aren't painted or dyed. It isn't clear about a rebloom on the same spike. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

I have to admit, they are gorgeous and I would have been tempted for sure. There aren't many blue orchids, and it's my favourite colour. My Vanda comes close to blue, it's as if it takes the blue colour from sunlight.

Off topic, but all of my "blue" Vandas have a distinct purple tone. What do you have that comes closest?

Pak chong blue. It has a slight purple tone, too. I don't think that there are any true blue. It amazes me how many colour blind people that there are at garden centres! Most of the plants that are called blue, look purple to me.
