Not a recommendation, but a suggestion...
Everybody likes something different. I can't stand some of the books my wife loves, and vice versa, but yet we agree on some.

To get something YOU really like, check out your local library. Ours will bring in books free from several counties around. You can preview them for free, and when you find THE ONE that will be a perfect at home reference, have your hubby get that as your gift.

Orchids for dummies is myy favorite! Lol its's by Steven Frowine. It is very easy to understand and gives you tips and everything.

I think I'm gonna take your advice
BobInBonita and have a look in the library. It's cold out and I don't need to be back at the university for another week.. Maybe I'll even grab a copy of Ruth Rendell's Tigerlily's Orchids. You know.. sticking with the orchid theme! haha
