Frozen Cymbidium

Any ideas how to bring this once beautiful lady back from the deep freeze? I moved to the country and left her outside during a cold snap...28 degree lows for several days. Leaves are brown/green and the flower spikes are toast. I'd love to save her!

I'm afraid I don't really know the answer. But as you've not had an answer yet I'm just giving you a in the hope someone else will be able to help.

Thanks Rosie...we have a lucky warm spell here with a week of daytime temps in the 60s...maybe Mother Nature will answer my question. In the meantime...still waiting.

Any help for a frozen Cymbidium out there?

cyms usually can take short periods in the upper 20s, was the plant wet during these temps?

How are the pbulbs? I don't know if anything can be done, other to wait and see how it goes, and avoid having the plant be wet and cold. I know we have some members who grow many, and mostly cyms - hopefully one of them will chime in with advice.

Thanks so much WR...will get pics posted pronto! The warm weather seems to be working its magic! I am cautiously optimistic. Yes...roots were wet during the cold snap!

Glad to hear your cym is not completely done in - they are pretty tough. I've only managed to kill one, that was from rather severe neglect, and my others, despite the same neglect didn't die ...

Hope it continues to rebound
