Plants sent to Western Australia need to meet (and pay for) WA Quarantine's import requirements. You need to check with the nursery in question as to whether they'll ship to WA as some will and others won't.
I've got in touch with a local florest in Nightcliff Darwin and they said they don't have phalaenopsis but have rooted singapore orchids in a pot, what type of orchid would that be a dendrobium or a vanda?
Could i bump this one up please as i would like to order an orchid from Darwin Oz but i'm not sure what type of orchid a Singapore Orchid is, would it be a dendrobium, the florist said it's a very popular type in Darwin.
I managed to ring Darwin Oz from the UK last night and order an orchid for my friends birthday, it's a singapore orchid in a pot which is a dendrobium.
I've asked the florist to send me a photo of the orchid before it's delivered.
I have cheap calls on my mobile to Oz so that was good.
Try Tinonee Orchids, Mid North Coast of NSW - they are very helpful. Twice I have asked them to send plants to Sydney and they have been very prompt. Visit their website and if you call them speak to Ray.
Thay have a good selection of orchids.
